What Is Biomimetic Dentistry?
“Biomimetic” means imitating nature. Instead of grinding a damaged tooth down to fit a crown, we remove only the decay or crack, then bond tooth-like materials back in layers that flex and absorb biting force the way enamel and dentin do. The tooth is sealed and supported from the inside, so more of what you were born with stays put.

Dr. Anita Rathee, DDS, MPH, MAGD
For more than 20 years, Dr. Rathee has cared for families across the San Fernando Valley. A lifelong interest in nutrition and whole-body health led her to biomimetic and holistic dentistry, and she now uses these methods to help patients keep their natural teeth.
She trained at Dalhousie University School of Dentistry, completed a General Practice Residency at Vancouver General Hospital, and earned a Master of Public Health from UCLA. She is a past President of the San Fernando Valley Dental Society and the California Academy of General Dentistry.
She practices alongside periodontist Dr. Nathan Eshoiee and general dentist Dr. Deepali Pednekar.
Your First Visit
Your first appointment is a conversation as much as an exam. We’ll review your health history, take low-radiation digital X-rays or a 3D scan if needed, and show you what we see with an intraoral camera. Then we’ll walk through every option, from the most conservative to the most complete, so you can choose what’s right for you.
Bring a list of medications and any known sensitivities to dental materials. You can fill out forms online before you arrive.
